Mountaineering books : Eric Shipton : Bill Tilman

E.E. Shipton and H.W. Tilman are perhaps best known for their rather spartan approach to mountaineering expeditions and mountain exploration. They certainly shared the same views concerning living off the country and back of an envelope planning.

Between them they wrote a dozen or so mountaineering books and Tilman went on to pen other classic books describing his sailing adventures.
